Obviously didn't win the Writers' Digest genre short story competition. I was going to try to get a submission in to Sails & Sorcery but I think I'm going to have to content myself with praying that slightlyjillian's story is well-received, because the one I'd thought to clean up is a hopeless mess of melodrama and confused plot.

krycek_chick and themountaineer are both supposed to have submitted art for the S&S anthology, though, and they sure as heck better have followed through with that! Their art would be, as SJ remarked tonight, a shoe-in (shoo-in?, hm, need the OED).

I have trouble finding motivation to write when I have all the time in the world to do so. Even deadlines don't work for me if they're too far away. I thought getting something ready for S&S would be easy, what with the short 12 days I had to write it after NaNoWriMo. Sadly, this has not been the case. In fact I need to impose a deadline on myself for finishing the NaNo novel, because while I broke 50k, I have three or four scenes of climax and denouement yet to write. *sigh*
