What is it about the sight of me taking notes out of a textbook that inspires people to come up and mess with my book? Or even better, stare at me until I acknowledge them?

Some days I really miss working at a library not because of the work...but because of my co-workers.

Everyone who works at a library understands what it's like to be a reader. Everyone who works at a library understands that if someone is reading, you don't just interrupt them for random shit. Everyone who works at a library enjoys reading.

Here I am, diligently taking notes on things I'm going to need to know when I start writing my NaNoWriMo novel this year (yes, I'm already thinking about NaNo, okay?), and all my co-workers seem to want to do is interrupt me. It's bad enough when I'm "just" reading a novel, but when I'm taking notes, do you really think I want to be interrupted?

Seriously, people. LEAVE ME ALONE.
