It was a mistake to ask Mom to kill the spider last night

She came upstairs, swung at it with the flyswatter, and MISSED.  It fell down behind the desk, and although I made her crawl under there with a flashlight, the sneaky monster was nowhere to be found.  So it is likely currently residing under the desk, waiting to come out and horrify me again.
